Zeitz Mocaa 100 Centenary Celebration

Commissioned by Zeitz MOCAA, we were tasked with capturing the museum’s Centenary Celebration — a landmark event held on Heritage Day 2024 to honour 100 years of the historical grain silos that now house Africa’s largest museum dedicated to contemporary art from the continent and its Diaspora. With over 5,000 guests and a day packed with art, culture, and community, the goal was to document the energy, emotion, and scale of the celebration with both beauty and precision.

We delivered a full day of photography and videography coverage, capturing every key moment — from family engagement and large-scale installations to speeches, performances, and the joyful presence of over 600 children. Our team worked seamlessly alongside Zeitz MOCAA’s communications team and external partners, ensuring smooth integration and fast content delivery. The result was a visual archive of the museum’s largest footfall to date, now used for both marketing and legacy purposes.

Our creative direction was rooted in storytelling and access — reflecting the museum’s vision of inclusivity while celebrating its architectural and cultural significance.
